The Confidence Ledger
Revise your confidence in a fictional causal claim as duplicates, comparison data and a new explanation arrive.
By the Oddoscope editorial desk. Times include reflection and are estimates.
A fictional pilot, not a prediction task
The claim is: “The new benches caused complaints in Bell Square to fall.” Record a confidence from 0 to 100 after each packet. These are your expressed judgements, not calibrated scientific probabilities. No value is scored as psychologically correct. The final trail asks whether your changes followed new evidence or merely repeated presentation. All records and numbers are invented.
CONFIDENCE LEDGER / 1 OF 4
Read each packet before recording a judgement. Use the slider with arrow keys or touch. A later packet may justify changing your mind in either direction.
01 / Before and after
How confident are you in the causal claim after this packet?
An invented pilot log counts twelve complaints in the fortnight before installation and six after. It supplies the dates and the count definition, but no comparison square.
